Chestnut Ridge Park - Fishing Rodeo

2012 Kid's Fishing Rodeo and Picnic
Saturday, April 21th from 9:30 to 1:00pm
(canceled in case of severe rain)

Boys and Girls will compete for prizes in three age groups:
3 - 6, 7 - 10 and 11 - 15.

Children who catch the three longest fish in each age group will win a prize!
In addition to the fishing rodeo, each participant and paying parent
will be served a picnic style lunch, which includes a hotdog, drink and snack.

Agenda:

9:30 am - 10:30 am: Registration at Feather Pavilion

10:30 am - 12:00 noon: Fishing Rodeo

12:00 noon - 1:00 pm: Picnic and Awards

Cost is $2.00 per child (includes derby and lunch) plus
$2.00 for any parent eating lunch

No fishing license is required in park.

Participants must bring their own fishing rod and bait.
Worms and power bait will be sold at the park.

Fishing at the Park:
Chestnut Ridge Park has two small lakes to fish in, Feather and Harris.
Both lakes are stocked in the spring. A fishing license is not required, even for adults.
Please respect the fish and return it immediately after it is caught.

Pet Restrictions:
Pets must be leashed AT ALL times and waste picked up and disposed of properly. Pets that disturb others will be expelled from park.
