The Halftime String Band

The Halftime boys have entertained audiences from coast to coast with their unique blend of acoustic Americana music. Often described as "jam grass", the band, while having a strong bluegrass influence, does not include the standard elements of a traditional bluegrass band. (There is no banjo or fiddle in the group), and the song selection covers a wide array of musical styles. In addition to an eclectic song selection, the band also performs a number of original compositions. Halftime String Band consists of: Jason Jaros (guitar and vocals), Fred Crozier (mandolin and vocals) and Bob Spangler (upright bass and vocals). A “Halftime” show brings audiences to their feet and puts smiles on their faces. Tickets are $5, kids 6 and under get in free.

Jakob's Ferry Stragglers

The Jakob’s Ferry Stragglers draw freely from old-time, bluegrass, country, jazz, rockabilly and swing styles to create their tight, high-energy string band music. Well-crafted original songs with emotional depth, masterful picking, and resonant vocal harmonies combine to forge new territories and a fresh take on Appalachian Americana music. CRP 80th Birthday Party and Concert

Join us as we celebrate our 80th year of service to the local community! Established in 1937 as a kids camp, come back to recreate past camp lessons, and exchange stories of happenings long ago. Mr. Jesse Shepherd will be wrapping up the evening with a show from 5:30-7:30p with bluegrass music, camp stories, and camp songs. More information coming soon!

The Boatmen

The Boatmen are from the heart of West Virginia. With diverse instrumentation and the right blend of soaring harmony over top of Americana anthems, they have created a niche all their own. Into their third year and second album the group has continually expanded its horizons through a non-stop tour schedule and constant support from their close knit fanbase. Come out to see this group which is easily viewed as bluegrass, rock-grass or a new-grass outfit; The Boatmen fall better into Americana Soulgrass. The Plate Scrapers

As classic as cast iron, as space-age as a flying car -- The Plate Scrapers are serving up their own flavor of bluegrass by way of a winding wormhole through folk, jazz, and heavy metal dimensions. So grab yourself a thick slice of nostalgia, slap on a side of mind-bending originality, and top it off with some piping-hit pickin', and let this hungry bunch "take you out of this atmosphere." Western Ave String Band

“Western Ave.” plays a huge variety of genres from Old time traditional Bluegrass, Fiddle tunes (some even jamming into the Grateful Dead) plus a large number of original tunes written and arranged specifically for our group. They focus on dynamic leads, three part harmonies (especially in the bluegrass numbers) and are seasoned veteran musicians. Tickets are $5, kids 6 and under get in free.

Weary Space Wanderer

Weary Space Wanderer is spreading improvisational, Appalachian-jam over the made-from-scratch material of singer-songwriter Kevin Hamric. Taking the stories built on an acoustic guitar and shaping them into mind-bending trips of Americana and roots-rock exploration, Weary Space Wanderer is nothing short of an eclectic ride into what modern mountain music can be. The West Virginia Hitchers

The original "Hitchers" was very guitar-centric with pedal steel and percussion layered on top. The new "WV Hitchers" is a more authentic Folk-Americana sound, relying on the powerful songwriting and smooth vocals of Maria that melds with the strength of the lead guitar position, now occupied by Chuck on his pedal steel. Dan and Creed fill out the mix with Dan's subtle and steady percussion as well as Creed's tastefully rich bass lines. Tickets $5, kids 6 and under get in free.

Sugar Maple

Sugar Maple is a four-piece band featuring Mary Angel Blount on vocals, Melissa Lattimer on guitar, Tim Mashburn on mandolin, and Duncan Larimer on upright bass. The band formed in 2015 and plays a mix of Americana, Folk and Bluegrass originals and covers. We are excited to welcome them to our stage and hope you will join us for the concert. Admission is $5, kids 6 and under get in free. If we have poor weather conditions, the performance will be moved into the dining hall.

Rachel Burge and Blue Dawning

The Hillbilly Gypsies

The Hillbilly Gypsies kick off the 2017 Mountain Music Concert Series on Memorial Day Weekend! The band is best known for their high-energy live performances and have become a crowd favorite at major festivals, fairs and concert venues all across the mid-Atlantic region and abroad. They perform in the old fashioned style, playing around a single vintage ribbon microphone. This "Old Timey" approach adds an authentic high-energy barn party atmosphere to their show.
