Appearing once again on the Chestnut Ridge Park outdoor stage.... we are pleased to welcome the Weedhawks back to the area! West Virginia natives now finding a home in Tennessee, this group regularly comes back to perform for their original base and roots. Originally a four piece "honky-tonkin" pedal stealin, fiddle sawing unit. WEEDHAWKS also branch out into a more modern, experimental, loop-based format, to compliment their bare-bones acoustic show. 2018 March Westin Fishing Rodeo
April 28, 2018
We would like to thank March-Westin for their generosity in sponsoring this event. Parking will be limited, and carpooling is advised. Prizes will be awarded in each age category (<6, 7-10, 11-15): largest fish caught, smallest fish caught, and most fish caught. We will have "My First Fish" certificates available for those who have never caught a fish before and would like to have a photo with said fish, certificate, and grinning angler. We encourage parents, guardians, and participants to focus on the goals of the rodeo which are to: 1) Provide fishing opportunities and fishing experience in a safe, controlled environment. 2) Teach basic angling skills. 3) Help children to develop a stewardship ethic. 4) Offer a positive fishing experience which fosters future interest in fishing. 5) Highlight fishing as one of many potential outdoor family activities.
