Remington Ryde

Saturday, June 27th:
Remington Ryde

A hard driving traditional bluegrass band. We offer superb musicianship, hauntingly tight harmonies, traditional and contemporary lead vocal styles, original material, humor, and history in every performance. And each member is as personable as they are talented, believing the audience comes first.

The Halftime String Band

Saturday, July 11th:
The Halftime String Band

For nearly five years the Halftime boys have joyfully struggled with their collective musical identity crises, embracing and eschewing tradition, carefully and recklessly blending styles, and blindly seeking that perfectly encapsulating self-aggrandizing band bio.

The Fox Hunt

Saturday, July 25th:
The Fox Hunt

Serving up dirt-laden tales of substance abuse, lonely highways, infidelity, damnation, and redemption, Martinsburg, WV’s the Fox Hunt play a brand of music anyone can identify with. Their strong writing and instrumentation is rounded out by a raucous live performance, making them as comfortable in a rowdy punk rock bar as they would be on your back porch.

Saturday, August 22nd:
Bare Bones
Becky and Bill Kimmons team up with Mark Davis to form the a cappella trio Bare Bones.  It’s hard to fit their music into one genre because their repertoire spans not only time but also many styles.   They move from gnarly old Appalachian ballads to Motown,  from African American songs of the antebellum South  to contemporize secular songs about love and broken hearts, and from protest songs to songs of salvation.  The three things their songs all have in common are strong rhythm, tight harmonies, and a sense of fun.

The Woodticks at the Metropolitan Theatre.

Saturday, August 22nd:
Woodticks

Old-time is the core of our music, which is the name given to music of the rural south during the golden early days of radio. Tunes and songs from the early 20th century and before are alive in our hands and hearts and filtered through our own style. We play old-time, along with maybe an Irish or Scottish tune or two, some originals, and a few other tunes and songs that we just like. Plus a whole lot of singing.

Saturday, September 5th:
The Hillbilly Gypsies

The Hillbilly Gypsies are a West Virginia native string band who specialize in playing their own homegrown style of Appalachian old time music, mixed with a hard drivin' bluegrass sound. In addition to their original material, The Hillbilly Gypsies play an eclectic mix of traditional and quite often, not-so- traditional bluegrass standards and catchy old fiddle tunes.
