Brown Chicken, Brown Cow Band

During late evening jams at back porches and campfires the
BCBC was born. The boys spent a lot of time together,
really listening to each other and the results show in their
music. In the fall of 2008 BCBC moved to Hawaii and
released their first album. While touring Maui the band
wrote their second album and went on to tour the US non-
stop. They return home to WV once a year and released
their third album in July 2010.
"The Tribe is on a Mission... All those in favor, let's dance!"

Uncle Eddie & Robin Band

The Uncle Eddie & Robin Band is a string band noted for
their instrumentation on mandolin, banjo and guitar, and
striking three part vocal harmonies, as well as their liberal
use of humor. Performing original music as well as classic
tunes, their roots are Appalachian, yet consider this a living
and growing tradition, with interesting arrangements from a
variety of musical genres, including bluegrass, rock, country
and reggae. They term their style "plunk rock" or "eclectic
acoustic".

The Jim Savarino Band

Born and raised in West Virginia, Jim left home at age 15,
joined the Marine Corps at 17, and later became a
physicist. He began writing in 1989 in California and has
since developed an acoustic style rooted firmly in
Appalachian music, with uplifting, poetic lyrics. Jim’s
influences include Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell
and John Denver.  “Savarino's songs tread the tricky path
between humor and subtlety, with the confidence of a
master songsmith.” - Michael Devlin

The Halftime String Band

Since they began performing together in November 2003,
The Halftime boys have joyfully struggled with their
collective musical identity crises, embracing and eschewing
tradition while carefully and recklessly blending styles.
Working from a bluegrass or “newgrass” foundation; they
continue to diversify their sound, developing original material
and borrowing from a variety of musicians and styles edging
on rock’n’roll, jazz and blues. A “Halftime” show brings
audiences to their feet and smiles to their faces!

Lonesome Highway

Formed in 1996, Lonesome Highway is truly one of the great bluegrass groups on the rise. Based in Romney , WV, Lonesome Highway has been performing throughout the regional area for the last 15 years. Their show is a high energy mix of moving ballads, some gospel and a great combination of original, traditional, and contemporary material enhanced by their solo and harmony singing, tight instrumentals and fresh new songwriting skills.

The Black Twig Pickers

Banjos and fiddles, boards and bones in hand, the Black Twig Pickers dove into a living tradition of old-time music that surrounds their homes along the Virginia-West Virginia line and never looked back. Both scholars of the regional sounds and advocates of an ecstatic and highly personal approach to the music, the Twigs hold down local dance and bar gigs, play all manner of celebrations and every so often, hit the road.

The Hillbilly Gypsies

The Hillbilly Gypsies are a West Virginia native string band
who specialize in playing their own homegrown style of
Appalachian old time music, mixed with a hard drivin'
bluegrass sound and original material. They perform around
a single, vintage style, diaphragm microphone. This "Old
Timey" approach adds a high energy barn party atmosphere
to their show. Watching them work around the mic is like
taking a trip back in time. It'll sure make you want to get up
and dance!
